Come explore South Walton's ORIGINAL Snorkel Reef, just a short paddle out from Grayton Beach State Park! Its age and proximity to Western Lake ~ one of 30A's most famous coastal dune lakes ~ make it the perfect summer-time habitat for tropical reef fish, sea turtles, manta rays, and more!
Ready to check out one of the richest artificial reefs on the Emerald Coast?! The Inlet Beach Grouper Reef is a booming underwater oasis with loads of marine life! Being right next to Lake Powell ~ the largest coastal dune lake, not just in Florida, but in all of North America ~ certainly doesn't hurt!
Deployed in July 2015 by the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA), the Grayton Turtle Reef rests in 10-20 feet of water about 250 yards offshore from Grayton Beach State Park. Regular visitors include colorful reef fish, sea turtles, dolphins, small sharks, and even octopus!
The Inlet Beach Grouper Reef plays host to a wide variety of unique marine life. It's not far from where the old Phillip's Inlet pier used to stand, which attracted all kinds of curious creatures over the years! Come Explore Beyond the Shore!
Freshwater Springs dot the landscape of Northwest Florida like the holes in Swiss cheese! The crisp, clear waters stay a constant ~68*F year-round. You can find everything from bass, perch, and carp to wild crawfish and even freshwater eels! About an hour's drive north of the beach, the springs are a refreshing alternative to the Gulf, especially when seas are rough.

Each Snorkel Reef site is by a wide range interesting marine life and you have many options available. You can dive down and find small, colorful reef fish on the structure or swim between the towers and get surrounded by large schools of small baitfish. It’s not uncommon to see Bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, and Eagle rays in the vicinity of the reefs. Venture out deeper and you’ll notice subtle differences in the fish and other creatures you’re seeing. Swim out over the sand to get a wider view of the bait swarms. There’s no limit to what you might discover during your tour!
Each of our friendly tour guides are passionate about South Walton’s reefs and have a thorough knowledge of our local marine ecology and diving. They can answer all of your questions about the reefs, snorkeling, and SCUBA diving.

Yes. A public restroom and changing room is available at each of our tour locations. Each location is also equipped with freshwater showers.
Yes. All tour guests must be at least 8 years old.
To get the most enjoyment from your tour, you should be a reasonably good swimmer who is comfortable in open water and who is free from any breathing issues.
We share the marine environment with a wide-range of animal life. Jellyfish are sometimes present and some species of jellyfish can cause a painful sting. Barnacles are present on the reef towers and if accidentally kicked, their sharp edges can cause cuts and lacerations. We encourage all of our guests to exercise caution while snorkeling. We carry a neutralizing solution on board to treat jellyfish stings and a first aid kit to quickly treat minor injuries, should either occur.
As dedicated stewards of our marine environment, we adhere to the maxim “Take Nothing But Pictures, Leave Nothing But Bubbles.” We do not allow our guests to take or harvest any living organisms from the Snorkel Reefs. In fact, we strongly discourage interfering with any marine life and, if necessary, your tour guide(s) may intervene.
Like most coastal communities, South Walton experiences marine weather conditions that can change on very quickly; rapidly improving or deteriorating and forcing us to make a last-minute call. We will do our best to notify you of inclement weather at the soonest opportunity and, if necessary, work with you to reschedule your tour for another time or date. Our guest’s safety is our first priority and your tour guide has the final say.

Happy to! First off, it's important to note that the '$10/person non-refundable booking fee' is NOT an additional fee. It's already in included in your booking price and only gets deducted in the event of a refund.
The reasoning behind this fee is that pretty much ALL of our business is dependent on favorable weather and sea conditions, which, unfortunately, we can't always guarantee. Retaining a small portion of booking proceeds (again, only in the event of a refund) makes it easier for us to cover the staff, equipment, and administrative costs involved with constantly morphing our schedule around favorable weather windows, which ultimately allows us to offer our customers the most open and flexible booking options. You must accept this fee in order to book with us.
*only applies to new bookings -->> does not apply to rebookings...
**if you've booked by mistake or need to make an adjustment, please just call or email.
